Manual Backwashing Filter
OPERATION
The extreme design simplicity is a guarantee of perfect operation with
low maintenance costs. The fluid flows through the filtering tube, from
the inside towards the outside ; no solid particle bigger than the tube
slot opening passes through, being collected inside the tube. The progressive
clogging of the tube provides an increase in pressure drop. The only
operation required is that of opening the back-washing valve (manual
or automatic) : the particles stopped inside the tube are thus eliminated
through the back-washing phase, the flow doesn’t stop, but simply
decreases.
Once the back-washing cycle is complete, the valve is closed and the
filter starts working again as normal until the next increase in pressure
drop. Continuos, unnecessary and expensive plants stops are thus eliminated,
with maintenance only needed at scheduled, controlled times.
Features And Advantages:
| Easy conception | Work like a Simplex filter. Lower Maintenance costs. Lower running costs. Flow rate isn't interrupted during back-washing cycle. |
|---|---|
| Tubular filter element | Lower pressure drop. Complete regeneration. High filtering area. High strength of filter elements. Fast, easy regeneration. |
| Wide rage of filtration rating | Filtering degree from 20 to 3000 micron. |
USES
Filtration of liquids. They can be installed to steel works, chemical
plants, petrochemical plants, pharmaceutical plants, food industry,
water treatment, gas treatment, electric power station, nozzle protection.
DUTY MODE
The accumulation of impurities causes an increase in pressure drop.
The back-washing cycle starts when the differential pressure reaches
a fixed value.
The filtering element is cleaned by part of the filtered water, which
flushes the impurities away.
